How Smencils Are Made:

We roll sheets of newspaper tightly around the graphite writing cores until pencils of typical thickness are formed. The rolled pencils are then hardened - allowing them to be sharpened just like wood pencils.

Because newspaper is an absorbent material, we soak them in gourmet scents (made by an award winning fragrance company) and then let them dry.

For the finishing touches, the erasers are applied along with the colourful wrappings that coordinate with the fragrance that was infused into them.

Lastly, each Smencil is put into it's own tube to maintain it's unique fresh scent.
